Dear Colleagues,

We have just exchanged ideas in depth on the topic of “Promoting Green and Sustainable Development to Implement UN 2030 Agenda”. Secretary-General António Guterres delivered an introductory speech and other participants also gave insightful opinions. These remarks embody the wisdom and vision of statesmen, and represent the attention and support the international community gives to the UN and global development.

- We all agree that Belt and Road cooperation will make a positive contribution to global development, particularly the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. For this, the most important thing is to balance economic growth, society, and the environment,tackle the challenges posed by climate change, and strive for clean, low-carbon and sustainable development. At the same time, we will fight against corruption and business bribery, and keep the Silk Road incorruptible.

- We all actively support development-oriented Belt and Road cooperation and help developing countries to achieve economic development and improve people's lives. We expect that improvements in infrastructure connectivity can help developing countries address the logjams in their development, accelerate their industrialization, enhance their ability in foreign trade, and integrate into and benefit from global value and industrial chains. We all agree that assisting developing countries in accelerating growth will expand global demand and create more room for world economic growth, which can benefit all countries. We fully support the UN's work in this regard.

- We all expect to launch more resource-conserving and environment-friendly cooperative projects. Green development ought not to be a castle in the air. We will make green the base color of Belt and Road cooperation, and green development a universally adopted style in production, consumption and life through pragmatic cooperation in clean energy and environmental protection. In this regard, we should support the work of the International Coalition for Green Development on the Belt and Road and encourage enterprises to fulfill their social responsibilities.
